sept already!

yikes, sept is already here. our product comes out in nov, hopefully the weekend work will go away, but i dunno, i don't foresee it, but i can hope! i've been working on weekends since jan *cry*
it's weird, all my coworkers seems crazy busy with work - but yet here I am sitting around not really having THAT much to do. I mean, yes, I do have stuff to do, but it's not un-manageable. If i really wanted to work hard, I could finish it very easily. What is everyone else doing??? I'm sooo glad my monitor now faces the door so I can see when people come in hehe. I have to make myself look busy so they don't give me much work. I'm such a slacker *urgh* I find ZERO motivation to work hard, but I guess I am bitter that I've had to work on weekends for so long. The people here are totally crazy, they work like 12 hours 6 days a week!!! I'm soooo not that dedicated.

work at the mall??

apparently working in the mall earns you some fatty discounts! if you work at MAC you can get a 60% discount, coach is 50%, steve madden is 40%! maybe i should get a part-time job at the mall or meet some people that work at the mall! too bad my sister doesn't work there anymore! ( she worked at steve madden for the summer ) i need some hookups!! if i ever get laid off maybe i should see if louis vuttion is hiring! HAHAHAHA that would be sweeeeet! neiman marcus is fine too hehe

i signed up for my SCU classes, and i got into all of them woo! last quarter, it was really lame, if i wanted to take two saturday classes i could only sign up for one and would have to go into the office to sign up for the other! this quarter i didn't have to, yay! so soon i'll be working and going to school, don't look forward to it at all sigh. i just hope it's as easy as everyone says it is hehe.

i'm sooo glad it's friday and i'm gonna be outta here soon!

The featherbed is great! =) I would definitely recommend it for people that like soft beds hehe. I think i've been sleeping better, but I am still tired during the day, maybe it's because work sucks!

Every night I watch the Olympics, it's so fun to watch! 8-12 is Olympic time! heh. Rowing looks fun, I wouldn't mind trying it! I even caught some badminton! It's cool how they're showing all the different sports on TV. Fencing goes so quick, half the time I have no idea what is going on. But of course, my favorite event to watch is gymnastics =) Go USA!! Has anyone seen the Chinese women's gymnastics team? They're supposedly 16 or 17, but they seriously look like they're 10! They're all soo short and skinny also! One chick is 4'3" 73 lbs!! I wonder if they fake their birth certificates....

I'm so close to getting my free Ipod, just waiting on two referrals and then I'll be complete! I can't wait, so excited! hehe. Thanks to all those that helped me!!!

On another note, I ordered a feather bed for my bed and I'm hoping all my sleeping problems will magically go away. The reviews indicate that people who've bought this sleep like a baby and never want to get up in the morning, I hope that happens to me too! It's arriving tomorrow and I can't wait to try it out!!

It's almost Friday, can't wait til this week is over!!!

Blue Crush

I watched Blue Crush ( the movie ) yesterday, the surfing was awesome! It *almost* made me want to surf myself....yeah right! heh. The waves looked like they give you a nice pounding, and I don't think I would like that. One thing I noted was that the main character was teaching some people to surf, and apparently in one day they could stand up on the surfboard! Is that realistic?? It doesn't seem so, cause when my friends last went surfing, only one person could semi-stand after one hour! They made surfing look sooo much easier than it really is.

Spending money is a BAD habit...

Since I will be going to New York during Labor Day weekend, I have told myself that I can not buy anything new until New York. It is sooo hard!! As you can tell, the ONLY hobby I have is spending money! ( other than TV... ) Nothing brings me more joy than spending money, whether it is for travel or for shopping! I'm a lazy bum, I don't enjoy work, I only do it so I can spend money! Ugh. And I seem to have an affinity for expensive things!

Below are pics of things I would DIE to have, but are unfortunately outside of my price range sniff. The Louis Vuitton bag is really cute, but I am not quite sure how much it is. On eBay people are selling it for $2,000+ but that is OUTRAGEOUS! So I decided on my next trip to Valley Fair I would find out how much it really is! At the LV store however, no one was around to help me, so I couldn't ask, boohoo. I was even contemplating putting myself on the waitlist for it, just to see if I could get it. Thank goodness no one helped me hah. I'm pretty sure it's around $1500ish! ack! It's pretty though don't you think?? Louis Vuitton has added this new multicolor pattern to their collection, but all the styles they have in this collection are not so great so far. I'm hoping they'll come out with better designs, and more affordable ones!! ( I can't believe I'm thinking less than $1000 is affordable!! ) I'm going to save up for my next LV bag!




Does anyone recognize these Manolos??? They're from Sex and the City - Season 6 "Woman's Right to Shoes" episode...the one where her shoes get stolen at her party! They're soo cute! Unfortunately again, they are out of my price range, sniff. I wish I was made of money! They're selling on eBay for $700. Yikes. And the sellers claim that you can no longer buy it in the store, but I'm likely to believe them. There was one auction that sold these shoes for $400, which is a steal since these shoes retail for $500 i think! I wish I was a size 38.5! Darn!! I also saw another pair of really cute Manolos that I love in Lucky...I can't wait til New York when I can go to the Manolo Blahnik store and drool all over the pretty shoes, I am very very tempted to buy myself a new pair when I go there, but it'll have to be a very drool-worthy shoe! ;) And alas, that is why I am saving all my money shopping in New York!

I wish I could travel...

After watching Amazing Race last night and seeing St Petersburg and Egypt, they both look sooo beautiful, I wish I could go visit them! And two of Julian's friends have come back from Asia, one was in Shanghai for 3 months, and the other went to Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam for 3 weeks....Travelling is definitely much better than working! I wish I could win the lotto so I could spend my days travelling rather than being stuck in a windowless office!!

Reality TV is the bomb!

I loooove reality tv! It's great! Here are some of the shows that I watch regularly: Amazing Race, America's Next Top Model, Survivor, Newlyweds, Real World...I think Jody and I talked about reality shows so much that it got all my friends hooked too! Although they don't watch quite as many as me, just the good ones hehe. I used to watch The Bachelor, but now that EVERY SINGLE one of the couples have failed, I don't watch it anymore. And I really liked Temptation Island the first two seasons, but the last season was really bad! But it was a good show in the beginning, I don't think it's ever coming back though. I do have reality tv standards! I don't watch the BAD ones like : Big Brother, Who Wants to Marry My Dad, Obnoxious Fiance...etc etc. The Trading Spouses show looks semi-interesting, but I haven't gotten a chance to see it. And I sometimes watch Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, they're hilarious! Too bad they aren't in San Francisco, so they can make over Julian and our apt! hehe

Clubbing on Sat

Went clubbing with Shal, Jody, Jody's cousin Ariel, Dan, and Surena on Sat. It was her "goodbye clubbing" Too bad the club SUCKED!! I was soooo glad we got there late, we arrived around 11pm, but we were thinking of arriving earlier since we thought there would be a line! But there was no line, and there were maybe a total of 20 people in the whole club, and as Shal would like to say "It was the saddest club EVER!" She repeated that line many times throughout the night. But it was a very true statement...at least we got in for free!

Since we didn't really know where else to go, we decided to stay there! We each had already taken a shot of Goldschlager outside the club, and once we got in, we decided we should make the best of it and drink! We were hoping that by drinking, we wouldn't notice the emptiness of the place ( btw I was the designated driver...hehe, and yes I did take a Goldschlager shot!) So Shal takes a shot of Skyy Berry while the rest of us have a normal drink, I got an Amaretto Sour that Ariel really liked! We danced for a bit, but got bored again, so guess what we decided to do....drink again! Shal had agreed to take a shot with every person! ( I dunno why she did that....)

So Surena was first up...they told the bartender to mix a yummy shot. It was a nice pretty red color, but I tried a sip, it tasted really bad, yuck! And the bar was sooo ghetto, they didn't even use shot glasses, they used plastic cups! And they filled it up about halfway, so it was a REALLY big shot! Went to go dance again, but the music wasn't so good, so I would say maybe 15-20 minutes later...you guessed it! Time for another drink! So this time, Dan, Jody and Shal take a Surfer on Acid shot, I was just watching hehe. Shal was drinking a lot, and she didn't have dinner! She was starting to get happpppy. So back to the dance floor again, but I guess we weren't drunk enough, so it was time for another shot! AGAIN!!!

The guys REALLY wanted the girls to take blow job shots ( I have noooo idea why... they were really into it ) Soooo...they got 4 shots. At first they put it in the ghetto cups instead of shot glasses, but I think Dan and Surena wanted us to do it the "real" way, so the bartender transferred them into shot glasses. Shal was first to act, the first attempt the blow job spilled all over the table and some on herself...a failed attempt! The bartender was nice and refilled her shot glass so she could try again. This time was even worse! She spilled again AND it got all over face! ick! In the meantime, Jody was trying to drink her blow job, but it didn't really work, so the rest of us quickly used our hands to drink our shot...I don't think anyone noticed hehe. Only poor Shal had to embarrass herself, hehe. Then we went back to dancing, the music wasn't too exciting, nothing that was recent, and probably 15-20 minutes passed again, and that's right... Back to the bar!! I am not sure who initiated these bar trips...but we seemed to be going quite often!

We got 4 lemon drop shots! Why did they get so many?? By this time, Shal was already pretty messed up, so I took most of her shot for her ( aren't I so nice??) Plus, I was the designated driver!! My drink count was: 1 shot of Goldschlager, 2/3rd of my Amaretto Sour, 1 blow job shot, and 2/3 of the Lemon Drop shot!! aiya! So by that time, I think we were all happily buzzed, I really have no idea how much time passed, but at 1am they stopped playing music! So we were in there for a total of two hours, and we had a looooot to drink, Dan and Surena paid for all our drinks and they were broke, heh. We stopped by the bathroom before we left, and when we came out, Shal totally missed the step and tripped! She fell to the ground and was on her hands and knees with her head bent over, I think she was laughing...the security came over and was like "Is she OK??" Jody and I were like "Yeah...we think she's laughing!" HAHA...it was the funniest moment of the evening...and Shal doesn't even remember it!? hehe

So, now what? It was 1am and we weren't ready to go home, so it was time for FOOD! We drove to this Chinese place on Broadway ( yes drove! Even after all those drinks!! Oh boy!! ) But I felt fine and capable of driving. Along the way, Shal decided she needed to go pee, and announced it every 5 seconds! We stopped at a Shell station to use the restroom, but they wouldn't let us in! How mean! So we decided to wait til we got to the restaurant. Near Broadway there were soo many cops around, and I was sorta nervous cause I don't think I could have passed a breathalyzer test, but it was a-ok. Dan and Surena found a parking space first, so they took Shal to find a bathroom while Jody and I went to look for a space. We found some spaces on a street that had a sign "No Parking 2am-6am Tues Thurs Sun" Since we were still lucid, we knew that we couldn't park there! So continued driving til we found a space right outside the restaurant! Yes! So we got our fill of greasy Chinese food...although Shal didn't touch a thing cause she was feeling and looking quite sick-ish. She stood most of the time because she said it felt better than sitting...When we were done eating, there were sooo many people, I guess that was one good thing about leaving at 1AM!

Then it was time to drive home, we had to get plastic bags for Shal since she was still feeling sick...but luckily she didn't throw up in my car! yay!

I think our aim for the night was to get Shal throughly smashed before she goes off the Taiwan, and I think we succeeded! Her memory of the night is very fuzzy, can you believe she doesn't remember tripping on the step?! The highlight of the night?! And I think she's sworn off taking shots for a while! But I think she had fun...of the stuff that she DOES remember hehe
