so it seems like the frozen yogurt craze has officially exploded in cupertino. 2 new places have opened recently- froyo? in vallco and yogurtland across from vallco. tartini will be opening very soon in the city centre plaza (stevens creek & de anza). they are all so close together, all self-serve, and are all opening around the same time, it's crazy!!
do ya'll remember eugene lee from lynbrook class of 97? well i think he is the owner of froyo? in vallco. (fyi: the name of the place has the "?"....)
yogurtland came from socal, i think it started in San Diego. i went to try it out over the weekend and guess who i saw there! SS!! haha. anyways, it was sooo good, i love all the different tart flavor froyo they have: strawberry, peach, mango, kiwi, yum. since it's self-serve, you can put in however many flavors you want, however much you want, and whatever toppings you want. you pay by the ounce (30cents) and it turns out that it's pretty cheap. mine came out to less than $3 and it was plenty for me. if i'm remembering correctly, 8oz at pinkberry with 3 toppings is $5. i think yogurtland is my new favorite place and i'll be dropping by every time i visit home in the summer hehe in fact, we're dropping off tofu at my parent's house tonight because we'll be going to puerto rico for a week and guess where we'll be stopping by!! =P the only negative is that the froyo is really icy, so if you like creamier yogurt, you might not like this place.
so for those that haven't been home in a while, there are sooo many new froyo places to try now!!! and red mango & pinkberry have yet to open!! i wonder how long the craze will last...
